THE Rotary Club of Kloof proudly presents the Kloof Musical Pops, with award-winning saxophonist, Andrew Young, at the St Agnes Auditorium in Kloof on Friday, 21 June from 6pm.

Andrew Young will return to his origins and, therefore, take his musical journey full circle.

After he completed his classical musical studies in London, Andrew spent more than a decade in the Classical Symphony Orchestras as a clarinettist and saxophonist, including the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra.

In 1991 he performed as a soloist on the saxophone at an annual event in the Durban City Hall, the Durban Rotary Pops.

He enthralled the audience with his performance of Kenny Gorelick’s Going Home. Shortly thereafter he left the orchestra to pursue a career as a soloist and toured globally. After 28 years, Andrew is thrilled to return to the Rotary Club of Kloof to perform at a concert that will also feature the Quattro Femme String Quartet.

Proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Kloof Rest Home Association. Sandwiches and wine will be available prior to the concert.

Tickets are R150 each and are available from Computicket.
