LISTEN: Kids tell us why they want to win tickets to Disney on Ice with the Highway Mail

Disney on Ice's Magical Ice Festival skates into South Africa this year to the delight of fans of all ages. We spoke to some of the youngsters who saw last year's show to find out what they enjoyed the most. Enter the competition and you could win a set of family tickets to the opening night on Wednesday, 3 July.

DISNEY on Ice is back these school holidays in Durban and two lucky readers have the chance to win a set of tickets for a family of four.

Since 2013 South African audiences have been thrilled by the excitement of a new Disney On Ice show every July school holiday. Last year crowds were delighted by the show which promises to once again tick all the boxes for holiday entertainment.

We asked some kids who enjoyed last year’s line up to share their feelings about the show.

This show features Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse on a specially created ice rink at Durban’s ICC Arena comparing the most magical moments from across the Disney kingdom when Disney On Ice presents Magical Ice Festival skates into South Africa this year.

The production runs from Wednesday, 3 July to Sunday, 7 July before moving to Cape Town.  “By pulling together moments from classic Disney stories to the Academy Award-winning animated film Frozen and combining them with elements of comedy and music, we developed a truly unique way to re-tell each fairy tale,” said producer Juliette Feld.

The show is entertaining for all ages as indicated by this voice clip, this time from an 11-year-old fan from New Germany.

Tickets are only available from Computicket, the official Disney On Ice ticketing agent unless you are lucky enough to win some through the Highway Mail. Enter by filling in the form below.

Competition entries close at noon on Friday, 28 June, and winners will be announced on Monday, 1 July.

Book at Computicket by calling 0861 915 8000, visit www.computicket.com or your nearest Computicket service centre. Patrons are asked to please note that owing to safety regulations each person, irrespective of age (including babes in arms and children under two years) must have a purchased ticket.

Fans are encouraged to only book through the official authorised ticketing agent for Disney On Ice. There are significant risks in buying from other sources and entry to Disney On Ice is not guaranteed.

The following terms and conditions apply for the competition:

  1. Tickets are only valid for the show at the Durban ICC on Wednesday, 3 July 2019 commencing 6pm. The performance time may not be upgraded, exchanged for cash or for an alternate performance.
  2. The prize comprises of four show tickets per prize winner i.e. 2 adults over the age of 18 years and 2 children/1 adult over the age of 18 years and 3 children.
  3. Please note that owing to safety regulations each person irrespective of age must have a ticket.
  4. Tickets will be available for collection from the Box Office at the venue from one hour prior to performance time, on the date of the performance.
  5. Requests for additional tickets cannot be accommodated. Tickets are to be booked directly with Computicket.
  6. Prize winners tickets are booked as a block booking, therefore seats alongside or in close proximity are not available.
  7. The prize is not transferable.
  8. By entering this competition the participant agrees to the terms and conditions.
