To add to the festivities, there will be a Veuve Clicquot, Hendricks Gin and Lipton Tea Garden at the event.

TAKE a journey back in time with the Concours d’ Elégance Durban on Saturday, 27 and Sunday, 28 July at the Durban Country Club.

The second annual competition of elegance returns to the city and, steeped in tradition as one of the most distinguished classic car showcases, will celebrate the country’s automobile heritage and the art of mechanical engineering.

Another great coup for Concours d’ Elégance Durban this year is the inclusion of the vintage and classic motorcycle class.

“We welcome classic car owners to chronicle their timeless classics, vintage or veteran masterpieces or motorcycles in the prestigious competition. We have been impressed with the overwhelming response and pleased that we will soon reach capacity in the car and motorcycle divisions,” said event organiser, John Aritho.

Closed judging will commence on Saturday, 27 July and is followed by a one-day only spectacle on Sunday, 28 July.

Patrons can look forward to the opportunity to flip through the skies with KZN aviation on a scenic helicopter ride. There will also be a designated children’s zone that will offer surfing and motor-cross simulations.

A special invitation is extended to collectors to join the ‘Tour d’ Elegance’, a charming scenic route scheduled for Saturday, 27 July.
