Curro Hillcrest continues to net top spots

The Curro Hillcrest's 1st team have only had one loss so far this season.

CURRO Hillcrest’s 1st team girl’s hockey took on St Henry’s in a sports derby day and, playing as a well-oiled machine, won the game with great skill and teamwork.

The girls’ winning formula comes from a strong team lead at the back by Jessica Campbell and Sheona Knibbs, while Jessica Goodspeed and Hannah Vorster make a fierce short corner team.

“The girls’ fitness and training have paid off and they have had a phenomenal season with only one loss. This team has definitely set the benchmark for the other girls’ teams in the school,” said head hockey coach, James Cumming.

To date the girls have maintained their record of only one game lost, and finished third in the SPAR hockey tournament.
