FIFTEEN lucky moms, chosen by the Open Door Crisis Care Centre, each received a wonderfully warm hamper from Pick n Pay.
“With Mother’s Day coming up, Pick n Pay said they wanted to acknowledge a few women with a blanket and gifts,” said the Open Door Crisis Care Centre’s founder, Thora Mansfield. “Many of the women from the community have never been spoilt before and this is just a way to honour them.”

Pick n Pay’s customer service manager, Sandra Nair, said the food chain also made a donation for the flood victims.
“We wanted to treat the mothers who have been through a lot and as a way to give back,” she said.
The group of delighted moms each received a large fluffy blanket, a toothbrush and snacks on the morning.
