KHS sports stars shine

A group of talented youngsters from Kloof High School were awarded titles at local tourneys or were nominated to represent their sporting codes in international away games.

KLOOF High School congratulated its talented sports stars for their achievements made during the school holidays.

Callagn Frieslaar and Jodi Oakes, members of the school’s girls’ 1st team hockey, participated in a hockey tournament in George and were selected for the Tournament Team that will travel to Ireland in September.

Job Madi, a member of the KHS 1st Rugby team that participated in the Treverton Tournament, was awarded Forward of the Tournament.

The boys’ 1st team hockey participated in the Treverton Tournament and Callum Thompson, Matthew Hopley and Tyrese Mnguni were selected for the Festival Team and will travel to Holland in September. Callum Thompson was also awarded Mid-fielder of the Tournament.

Ronnel Donnelly, a member of the 1st netball team that participated in the Treverton Tournament, was awarded Defender of the Tournament.
