Danielle climbs to new heights as Miss KZN

Danielle Visser is appealing for the community to assist her collect items for children's homes.

NEWLY crowned Miss KZN, Danielle Visser, is on a mission to concentrate on different charities where she plans to volunteer her time.

In her reign for the year 2019, she will assist the Role Model Foundation, but if there are any charity organisations in the Upper Highway need help with feeding children or any other activities, she would like to give of her time where she can.

The 15-year-old Grade 10 learner at Westville Girls’ High School, who would like to be a vet after she matriculates, started modelling in 2013. Meeting a lot of people along the way and making good friends is what Danielle loves about modelling.

She has won many other titles, but said for her, its not about the titles, but about meeting new people who one can help along the way.

“I appeal for the community to join me in my venture of collecting non-perishable foods, stationery, toiletries and baby clothes, second-hand clothes, shoes, toys and books,” said Danielle.

She will also be selling lollipops at R10 for the Role Model Foundation and is hoping for some support and any donation of money, “No matter how big or small it is, it will help children’s’ homes and other people who are suffering inhumane conditions in particular our children who cannot change their circumstances.

“I also challenge schools to help me sell these lollipops and a school which sells the most will get R10 000,” she said.

Besides modelling, Danielle is a rock climber and has done extremely well in this sport, getting KZN Colours three years in a row.

In 2018, she was in the SA Team and went to Russia. This year, she is hoping to go to Italy and again proudly represent South Africa.

In May, Danielle will be in Johannesburg for nationals representing KZN in rock climbing and in June she will be in Cape Town.

She thanked Juanita Smit from Role Model Foundation and hopes to make it proud during her reign as Miss KwaZulu-Natal.

“I would also like to thank Adele Botes from Extreme Model Management for all the hard work she has put in to ensure the confidence I now have.”
