Join Westville’s soccer club

The club will introduce a number of structures in 2019 that will help empower and develop its players.

THE Westville Old Boys’ Football Club has had a long and illustrious history of serving the community well, but 2019 will surely be seen as a watershed year.

The club has decided to focus its efforts on three key areas: engaging the community, develop children in the sport and become the best administrated club in KZN.

The club has ensured the best quality of age-appropriate training takes place.

“We have brought in the consulting company, SoccerTech, to develop a strategy for coaching the players. They will be responsible for the education and monitoring of every session that takes place during the year. We have made a stand that no coach will be allowed to coach at the club without being fully assessed and accredited,” said vice chairman, Vaughan Coetzee.

SoccerTech will also provide the club with an elite coach who will take one out of every four age group sessions throughout the year.

To join the club, visit www.wobsc.co.za or email soccer.secretary@wobsc.co.za. The group will train with various age groups from Monday to Friday from 5pm to 7.30pm.
