Compass shows the way for Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust challenge

Sign up a group of walkers or runners to compete for the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust in the inaugural Charity Challenge Relay.

TO commemorate World AIDS Day, Compass Medical Waste Services has issued a challenge to the local community and other businesses to support the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust (HACT) at the Charity Challenge Relay on Saturday, 1 December at 2pm at Hillcrest High School.

The event, organised by the Rotary Club of Hillcrest, aims to raise much-needed funds for HACT, Centre for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW), The Highway Hospice, Fulton School for the Deaf and BobbiBear.

Compass Medical Waste Services have supported HACT for the past couple of years by selling Mandela Day stickers, were involved in last year’s World AIDS Day and sponsored R72 000 for its Adopt-a-Bed campaign in 2017.

These funds are used to care for patients in its on-site Respite Unit.

“We are looking forward to being involved in the upcoming charity challenge relay and hope that others join us in supporting these worthwhile causes,” said Taryn Murdey of Compass.

“There will also be lots of family fun and entertainment provided, so bring the whole family for a fun afternoon out.”

The entry fee for each runner or walker is R200 and various hospitality site options are also available.

To enter a team of five runners or three walkers, visit www.charityrelay.co.za.
