Run Hillcrest Rotary’s relay for charity

This is the perfect opportunity to end your 2018 on a good note - gather a team and raise funds for a charity in need.

FORM a team of five, choose your charities, raise some money then lace up and compete in the Rotary Club of Hillcrest’s Charity Challenge Relay on Saturday, 1 December at Hillcrest High School.

All you need is five members per team and each person can choose one of the six charities of choice for this event. Alternativly, you can all choose to back one charity. The entrance fee is R200 per runner and each team must raise R5 000 (R1 000 per runner) for their charity.

The charities supported by the event include Highway Hospice, Fulton School for the Deaf, Bobbibear, CROW, the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust and Rotary.

“The concept is about challenging people to raise as much money as they can for their selected charity. The event is for companies to have an end of year team building and staff function and at the same time involving staff in having fun raising money for charity,” said the Rotary Club of Hillcrest’s president, William Gibson.

All funds raised will be donated to various charities. To sign up for the event, visit www.charityrelay.co.za
