WIN: Follow Chloe into Wonderland

One of Durban's favourite jazz musicians, Chloe Clark, will launch her second album at the Maharani next week.

IN celebration of women’s month, one of Durban’s favourite jazz vocalists, Chloe Clark, will launch her fresh new Jazz album She Encountered Wonderland on Friday, 3 August.

The launch of her second album is on yet another roof top, the Sky Venue at The Maharani Hotel on Snell Parade.

After a very successful first album, Chloe is thrilled to have worked on this new project alongside the well known jazz pianist, Burton Naidoo. Their jazz duo began several years ago at UKZN while Chloe was studying jazz and Burton was a lecturer. Following many projects and shows, they have teamed up to create a beautiful new album.

Chloe said she has loved the freedom of writing poetic- and melody-filled songs while Burton has put his swing and spin on every song. The highly-talented band consists of Nick Pitman on acoustic guitar, Llewellyn Chetty on the double bass, Burton Naidoo on the piano and Chloe Clark on vocals.

Chloe has found much inspiration for her new album after her whirlwind romance where she met her pilot, Riccardo Maruggi while doing a show in Mauritius. She has since travelled across the world and has teamed up and sung with different jazz bands in India, Shanghai, Japan and Mauritius.

Tickets are R150 per person and you will receive a copy of Chloe’s new album with the purchase of your ticket. There are only 150 tickets available at www.quicket.co.za or e-mail chloeclarkbookings@gmail.com.
