Man left in critical condition after alleged hit-and-run in Northdene

The vehicle that had collided with the man was reportedly not found on the scene, and local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.

A man, believed to be in his 50s, was left critically injured on the morning  of July 6, in an alleged hit-and-run on the Hans Detteman Road, in Northdene, KwaZulu Natal.

According to a statement issued by Er24 paramedic, responders arrived on the scene at 07:40 am to find the man lying in the emergency lane of the road.

After assessing his injuries paramedics found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.

The man was treated and provided with advanced life support interventions before being taken to RK Khan Provincial hospital for further care.
