Pinetown CPF elects new committee

Tony da Canha was chosen as the new chairman.

TONY da Canha is the new Pinetown CPF chairman. The Pinetown Community Police Forums held their Annual General Meeting where a new executive committee was elected into office.

Outgoing CPF chairman, Matthews Buthelezi, addressed community organisations present and thanked the outgoing committee for serving their term in office with diligence and dedication which has seen a decrease in the crime rate in the Pinetown area.

He also commended W/O Muzi Maphumulo for his thoroughness and enthusiasm in his role as the CPF co-ordinator.

Pinetown SAPS station commander, Brigadier Mandla Mhlongo, reiterated Buthelezi’s sentiments and acknowledged the role played by the community in the fight against crime, particularly in the Pinetown policing area.

eThekwini Inner and Outer Cluster CPF chairman, Carlton Sibhaca highlighted some of the qualities needed for CPF leadership such as diligence, being stable, sympathetic and eloquent.

New Germany CPF chairman Tony da Canha was voted as the new Pinetown CPFs chairman and Justin Bosse as his deputy.

Treasurer – Lynn Robson.
PRO – Nikki Moohlman.
Additional members; Ashley Govender, Sibahle Ndlovu, Beth Vickers and Matthews Buthelezi.
