TODAY is Mother’s Day and to commemorate this special day the Queensburgh News caught up with a local crime-fighting mum.
Fazana Mahomed who works as a crime analyst at Bellair SAPS said she is lucky to have a son like Mikael Chetty (4) who puts her at ease even when she is at work because of his independence, she knows wherever he is he is being respectful and outspoken.

Working in the crime fighting field, Fazana said that it has made her more aware of her surroundings, the crimes affecting women and children and has ensured that her son is always at a safe environment.
When asked what she loves most about being a mum, she replied with smile adding that her son’s smiles brightens up any gloomy day.
