Pony club raises funds on the run

The Queensway Pony Club has planned another fundraising event, a dog show for all levels and includes 10 fun classes, on Sunday, 20 May.

QUEENSWAY Pony Club hosted a 2.5km cross country fun run/walk at 55 Fairfield Road in Moseley on Saturday, 22 April.

The event was held to raise funds for 12 equestrian children to go to the KZN Pony Club’s Interbranch at Canterbury Equestrian Centre in Pietermaritzburg from 25 to 27 June.

Nola Gaum and the fundraising team congratulated all the participants and thanked the parents for organising the event.

Participants raced through a nature trail and had to undergo a few obstacles too.

The winner was Tim Lee who won a photoshoot. Linda Mkhize was second and she received a canvas print as her prize. Blaize Bosch was third and he won a Pavilion shopping voucher.

The club has planned another fundraising event, a dog show for all levels and includes 10 fun classes, at the same venue on Sunday, 20 May from 9am.
