Register for Ward 10 by-election this weekend

Seven voter registration stations in Ward 10 will be open from 8am to 5pm on Saturday, 7 April and Sunday, 8 April.

VOTER registration for the Ward 10 by-elections will take place at various venues this weekend.

Sibonelo Mzobe, project coordinator at the Independent Electoral Commission is urging all Ward 10 residents who are eligible to vote to check their status on the voters roll, or for first time voters to register their names this weekend.

“It’s simple, all you need to be a registered voter is your green bar-coded ID Book or a SmartCard ID and you should know your physical address (proof of address),” said Mzobe.

1. Kloof Town Hall
2. Gillitts Community Hall
3. Winston Park Primary School
4. Kloof High School
5. Kloof Tennis Club
6. New Vision Church
7. Kloof Methodist Church

Please note: Kloof Methodist Church has replaced St Mary’s DSG as the venue is been used this weekend.

“Field workers will also be out and about today until Friday visiting first time voters at home to register them,” said Mzobe.

The Ward 10 by-election will be held at the same venues on Wednesday, 30 May from 7am to 9pm. (Time is subject to change to political dynamics).
