Get ready to tee off at Tafta’s golf day

All proceeds for this year’s event will once again go towards Tafta’s hot meal provision service; the Meals-on-Wheels programme.

THE Association for the Aged (Tafta) is calling on golfing enthusiasts to participate in its 60th birthday fund-raising Golf Day Challenge on Thursday, 10 May at the Durban Country Club.

The tournament, which will be a 4-ball format, tees off at 10am and entrance fees at R1 000 a player include a luxury goodie bag, lunch, greens fees, cart fees, as well as an exciting end to the evening with a celebrity hosted auction at a glamorous dinner.

Prizes for the event this year promise to be extravagant with sponsors helping to make Tafta’s 60th birthday event memorable for its golfing supporters. Included in the prize line-up are three place prizes, a longest drive prize, a closest to pin prize, surprise auction envelope prizes, a lucky draw and more.

“Meals on Wheels provides nutritiously prepared meals to seniors, both in Tafta homes and in the community, who are housebound or who can no longer cook for themselves.

Corporate, individual, and team sponsorships opportunities are also available.

Donations are welcomed and appreciated. All donations received toward the hot meals and Wheels programme will be eligible for a tax certificate.
