Iconic Durban stadium renamed

Local company, Jonsson Workwear, have acquired the naming rights to the 'Shark Tank'.

JONSSON Workwear acquired the naming rights to the iconic Kings Park stadium and the homeground of the Cell C Sharks will now be known as Jonsson Kings Park.

The Sharks and Jonsson Workwear are deeply rooted in KZN and both equally proud of their local heritage.

Jonsson Workwear, although a national brand with a strong presence internationally, was founded in Durban and continues to be headquartered here.

This partnership will see the revitalisation of Kings Park and the surrounding precinct as well as sponsorship and branding on The Sharks rugby team kit, activations and social media platforms.

Expressing his delight at this partnership, The Sharks CEO, Gary Teichmann, said:

“Both brands are proudly KZN with a national attraction because of our relevance and commitment to excellence. We look forward to a long-term partnership that will seek to move boundaries and redefine the profile of our wonderful province of KZN.”

Nick Jonsson, CEO of Jonsson Workwear, echoed Teichmann’s sentiment:
