St Mary’s principal, Jonathan Manley said out of all 723 subject results, 47 per cent were distinctions.

“Almost half of all the girls’ results were above 80 per cent and only eight results were below 50 per cent. This goes to show that by focusing on a personal best, our girls stay motivated and each one can work to ending with the best result possible for her,” said Manley.

He added that it is so important to reflect and be aware of the many people who have supported the girls to get them to this point in their lives with such good results.

“Their foundations were laid in Junior Primary and this was built on over the years to culminate in matric. Their parents who supported and encouraged them along the way; their teachers who kept working to develop their potential and who managed the pace and standards along their journey – all of these should celebrate this achievement with our matrics. Thank you for the part you played in nurturing these remarkable young women,” said Manley.
