Pinkies raised for CANSA

The 2017 head girl at St Mary's DSG hopes the Cuppa for CANSA event becomes an annual fund-raiser.

St Mary’s DSG raised R23 165 for CANSA during its recent Cuppa for CANSA event.

The idea to host a Cuppa for CANSA event at St Mary’s was the brainchild of the school’s 2017 headgirl, Metja Ngoasheng.

She hopes the initiative will become an annual event and a part of the legacy of the 2017 matrics.

Metja encouraged her school mates to bring and share so that all the funds raised from the morning could be given to charity.

There were two guest speakers at the event, Khanyile Thusi (2011 head girl) addressed the girls about life after school, and Samantha Landers (matric 2004) entertained the girls with her beautiful singing.
