Pinetown Idols contender narrowly misses the Vodacom challenge crown
The Pinetown Boys' High School Old Boy thanked everyone who voted for him.
ASHLEY resident, Thamsanqa Mathonsi, who took on the the Vodacom NXT LVL competition in June this year, came second, losing to Zethe by just one per cent in last night’s finale.
Mathonsi, entered the Vodacom NXT LVL competition just after he re-entered Idols season 13 and was axed in theatre week.

The Vodacom NXT LVL show had eight contestants. Each week, the contestants were mentored by different artists who included the likes of DJ Zinhle, Euphonik, Riky Rick, Big Nuz and Danny K.
Thami wrote on his Facebook page: “Words cannot express how I feel…Thank you all so much…time to take over the world.”
