Gypsy Strings perform in Kloof

Gypsy Strings will perform a colourful and exciting selection of traditional Bulgarian, Rumanian, Russian and Greek music in gypsy style.

AS part of the monthly Music Revival concert series in Kloof the Gypsy Strings, a vibrant ensemble of five musicians who are all members of the acclaimed KZN Philharmonic Orchestra will play at St Agnes Church on Thursday, 23 November at 7.30pm.

They will perform a colourful and exciting selection of traditional Bulgarian, Rumanian, Russian and Greek music in gypsy style.

The quintet is led by Bulgarian-born violinist, Ralitza Matcheva with Annamaria D’Andrea (viola), Ralitza Todorova (cello), Roberto Palma (violin) and the inspirational and innovative French percussionist, Stephane Pechoux. Christopher Duigan on piano joins them in selected items.

Tickets are R130 including refreshments at interval.

St Agnes Church is situated on Abelia Road in Kloof.
