Blend of music, tears and humour

The local Club will host an exciting show this August and September featuring music from the 60s and the 70s.

THE Westville Theatre Club is excited to be staging unPlugged – The Musical in August and September.

The delightful show is written and produced by Daniel Oosthuizen and is based on the music of The Bee Gees, Simon and Garfunkel and Crosby, Stills and Nash.

“Not only will audiences be entertained by a very talented and diverse cast of singers and actors, they can also expect some laughter, a few tears and of course, a good mix of romance.

All of this is subtly blended into the music of the artists.”

Accompanied by musical director, Shawn O’Neill, on acoustic guitar, together with bass and percussion at times, the songs are set to be rich in harmonies.

The shows will run from 24 to 27 August and 30 August to 2 September at the Westville Theatre Club, adjacent to the Westville Swimming Pool. Doors will open at 7pm and curtains will go up at 7.30pm.Only one matinee will be staged. This will be on Sunday, 27 August from 1.30 pm and the show will start promptly at 2pm.

Tickets are R80 per person for all shows, with a discount available when doing group bookings.

The cost of tickets for the matinee are R50 for students and pensioners. Bring along your own eats and drinks.
