Neighbourhood watch cleans up the mess

According to MNW communications officer, Mark Swan, in the past, this stretch of road was completely covered with overgrown bush and was a hiding spot for criminals.

MOSELEY Neighbourhood Watch took the initiative to clean up Dilkoosh Road alongside the M7 where illegal dumping has taken place over the years.

“After contacting our parks department, the bush along this stretch of road was cut back and the area was cleared making it safer and neater. Only problem now was that this exposed all the household rubbish that had been dumped over the years,” he said.

MNW Exco decided that to give a local unemployed gentleman a chance to earn some money by helping to clean the mess up.

“We plead with residents to report any illegal dumping so that we can keep our area clean and tidy,” he said.
