WATCH: Donation warms Mbongeni’s heart

A small act of kindness can have a huge impact on someone's life.

ADRIAN Smith’s kind gesture has helped make living with a disability a little easier for Clermont resident, Monongeni Maphanga.

Smith, an armed response officer at Blue Security said he noticed the elderly man with disabilities close to the Fourways SPAR in Padfield Park/Manors.

“Seeing him in that condition made me want to help this old man,” said Smith.

He approached Mr Wheelchair and informed him about Mbongeni’s plight.

Mr Wheelchair generously sponsored Mbongeni with a brand new pair of crutches to help him move around more easily.

Dave Buckingham, the manager of Fourways SPAR, said the elderly man usually sits across from his store and comes in to purchase items whenever he receives some money.

“He seemed very happy when I saw him this morning with his new pair of crutches,” said Buckingham.
