Double dose of feline fun on the catwalk

The KZN cat club will host another cat show in October and people will be able to experience the top show cats in KZN for the 2017 show season.

THE KwaZulu-Natal Cat Club (KZNCC) held two cat shows in one day at Highbury Preparatory School on Saturday, 27 May.

The show was sponsored by Hill’s and was well supported by both Gauteng and local exhibitors, boasting a wide range of breeds showcased, such as Maine Coons, Burmese, Norwegian Forest Cat, Peterbald, Siamese, Devon Rex and Persians.

The KZN Cat Club believes wholeheartedly in breeder-rescue cooperation.

“It is so important that rescue organisations educate themselves about how breeders do not impact but rather assist shelters with responsible breeding practices. The distinction between backyard breeder and ethical breeder must be made and much public awareness is needed around this subject,” said KZNCC chairman, Nicole Barratt.

The KZN Cat Club hopes to see more cat lovers at their flagship show on 7 October, KZNCC Top Cat 2017.

At this show, the people will be able to see the top show cats in KZN for the 2017 show season.
