UPDATE: Cars stoned on Platt Drive, Isipingo

Roads leading to and out of Prospection/Isipingo Beach are barricaded.

HIGHWAY motorists should avoid the Isipingo area as there have been reports of cars being stoned in Platt Drive on a Whatsapp traffic group.

A taxi strike has caused many roads to become congested from early this morning.

Warwick Avenue has been blocked off,  the South side of SAPREF is closed off, Queen Nandi Drive is blocked and traffic on the N2,  southbound at Mvoti toll has been slowed down.

The traffic situation seems to be changing rapidly.

There have been reports from Isipingo Beach CPF of protestors grabbing bottles from a liquor delivery truck on Joyner Road and throwing them at vehicles.
