Robin Hood spreads web of kindness

The local non-profit organisation also relaunched its website to coincide with its 12th anniversary.

TO celebrate its 12th birthday, the Robin Hood Foundation launched its newly revamped website.

“In our 12th year of serving the community we remain committed to mobilising resources from businesses and individuals and distributing them directly into the hands of the poor grannies, needy moms and children in our surrounding impoverished and AIDS-affected communities,” said Cindy Norcott, chairman of the Robin Hood Foundation.

The Robin Hood Foundation’s core values include equality, visionary leadership, community and empowerment.

This remained a common thread throughout the website design and the rotating banner on the home page provides a glimpse into the five core projects that it runs throughout the year.

In addition to links to their blog and social media pages, quick links to projects, events, newsletter sign up and get involved are easily accessible.

The entire website revamp was professionally handled by Chilli Source Design, a full service branding, design and marketing agency who specialise in print, website, point-of-sale and mobile marketing.

Having already completed 45 projects since the beginning of the year, Kim Griffith Jones, the Foundation’s co-ordinator, said they have so many more exciting initiatives lined up for 2017.

“In the next quarter we will be launching the ‘buy-a-brick’ campaign to build and upgrade a little dilapidated crèche we recently visited in rural Ntshongweni during our Love to Read campaign.”

“Other campaigns include our ‘Chicken stew for the soul’ a Winter Warmth initiative which we will launch in June. There’s also our Hope Carnival at Stonehaven Castle in July where we will bless 120 orphaned and vulnerable children with a morning of fun and provide them with school uniforms and stationery for the third term. In addition we have a variety of projects lined up for Mandela week and would love to encourage and invite our community to join us and volunteer at these projects.”
