Search is on for Highway’s Supermoms!
If you think your mom, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother or neighbour is a supermom, we encourage you to nominate her for this prestigious title.
THERE is a saying, “A mother is like a button, she holds everything together”. Here at the Highway Mail we believe this to be true.
Mothers are extraordinary individuals and to celebrate Mother’s Day this May we are hoping to track down and showcase three incredible ‘Supermoms’ in the Highway area.

If you think your mom, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother or neighbour is a supermom, we encourage you to nominate her for this prestigious title.
From the nominations, we will select three lovely mothers to appear in our paper throughout the month of May. We are looking for those moms who inspire and goes beyond the ‘call of duty’.

To enter, tell us why your mom, or someone you know, is special. We will also need your name and contact details.
We asked our reporter Khethu Lembethe-Xulu why she believes her mom is a Supermom.
“The first word that comes to mind when I think about my mom is ‘strong’. She has been through a lot in her life and still managed to bring up three children, instilling love, faith and courage in us.”
“My mom recently went through the toughest health scare when she was diagnosed with meningitis and later TB of the stomach, forcing her to spend Christmas and her birthday in hospital. She had to undergo two dangerous operations, but still she smiles and holds her head up high.”
