Three arrested for Queensmead business robbery

THREE men have been arrested after a scrap metal business was robbed at the Queensmead Industrial Park.

According to Malvern SAPS communications officer, W/O Radhika Marimuthu, four men accosted the staff and made off with cash, cellphones and a laptop.

A case of business robbery was registered.

“Members of the Malvern SAPS house-breaking and crime prevention unit acted on intelligence, kept surveillance and tracked the suspects to the Rossburgh and Clairwood areas,” said Marimuthu.

Marimuthu said this resulted in the arrests of the three men, one in Rossburgh and two in Clairwood.

The men have appeared in court and have been remanded into custody.

The station commander, Lt-Col Valarine Reddy, welcomed the arrests and said the message to criminals is clear, “SAP Malvern has a zero tolerance to all crime and criminals.”
