uThekwane Conservancy hosts Easter egg hunt

Prior to the clean-up, adult volunteers will remove all potentially harmful litter in the area while the children are guided by a parent in a clean-up of the sports field.

JOIN the Easter Egg Hunt at New Germany Sports Club on Saturday, 1 April from 9.30am to 11.30am.

Before joining in the fun of the egg hunt, children, accompanied by a parent, will be guided in a clean-up of the sports field. This is one aspect of the uThekwane Conservancy education programme aimed at making children and young adults aware of the harm caused by pollution, especially plastic litter. Prior to the clean-up adult volunteers will remove all potentially harmful litter.

Plastic refuse bags will be provided but individuals must take along their own protective gloves. Entry fee is a donation of marshmallow eggs. All extra eggs will be donated to a local children’s home.

Contact the organiser, Cathy Enslin on 084 923 9978 or Pat Olivier on 082 932 9048.
