Pop in to pop-up store and create hope

Woza Moya has opened up a new and exciting store in the Kloof area.

DYNAMITE comes in small packages and that includes the powerhouse that is Woza Moya, the empowerment project of the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust.

Previously known as the income generation arm of HACT, and, as told by the manager of the porject, Paula Thomson, the new name reflects its true work. “Our mission is to create as much employment in our community as we possibly can, empowering patients to become crafters and enable them to support themselves and their families.”

The new pop-up shop at the Fields Shopping Centre in Kloof is a reflection of the Embo Craft/Woza Moya store in Botha’s Hill and is beautifully put together. It is an eclectic mixture of modern and traditional and is filled with brightly coloured hand-made goods., from the Little Traveler collection to the intricately beaded necklaces and sock monkeys.

“Thank you to Fields Shopping Centre for the sponsorship of our awesome pop-up shop and Tonic design for putting the shop fittings together for us in under a week. We are only able to do this because of all of you – thank you!” exclaimed Paula.
