Tennis is smashing at Pinelands

The Pinelands Tennis Club is looking for new members.

JOIN the Pinelands Tennis Club for fun, exercise and great company.

The club has been going for many years and is located in park-like surroundings on the corner of Collins and Mellor roads near Benjamin Pine Primary School.

On Saturday afternoons, the club offers social tennis which starts at 1.30pm until “everyone is tired”.

On Tuesday and Wednesday mornings there is also mid-week tennis which begins just after 8am.

The club invites new social and league players of all ages and strengths to join.

Players regularly participate in the Durban tennis leagues, entering men and women’s over 40’s teams, mixed doubles teams and men and women’s doubles.

“We also arrange social tournaments between the different leagues which are always fun and gets everyone involved.

“The recent December tournament held at the club was no exception with a really good turnout, lots of prizes, as well as laughs,” said chairman of the club, Rob Wilson.

People who feel that they are not ready to join the main club, but want to have access to the courts to build their skills can register for annual court hire.

Contact Rob on 083 651 6258.
