Hirsch’s celebrates World Food Day

Hirsch's Hillcrest visited Focus on iThemba as part of the World Food Day celebrations.

TO celebrate World Food Day (Friday, 14 October), a team from Hirsch’s Hillcrest made their way to Focus on Ithemba in Waterfall.

They provided 88 food packs to all pupils, a hot dog, a packet of chips, a fizzer and a juice.

“Hirsch’s staff spent time with pupils and shared many warm hugs. Hirsch’s loves to give back to the community in any way possible. It was wonderful to see such happy, excited faces,” said Hirsch’s PRO Taryn Taylor.

Focus on Ithemba provides quality foster care homes for vulnerable children and a school of excellence for the children in its care, providing a service needed by the community.

Through its work in the Valley of a 1000 Hills, the education of children at the iThemba Academy and its foster care programme, the organisation is making a difference.
