Shoe donation – the perfect fit for children

The Robin Hood Foundation will donate the shoes to the orphaned and vulnerable children in Amaoti.

THE BBF Safety Group (BBF), the largest manufacturer of safety footwear in South Africa, recently donated 144 pairs of Bova and Sisi shoes to the Robin Hood Foundation’s Choose Your Shoes initiative.

“New shoes are a luxury that is not affordable for the orphaned and vulnerable children from the Amaoti township and it is our aim to bless each of them with a new pair of school shoes as well as a pair of casual shoes,” said Kim Griffith Jones, the Robin Hood Foundation coordinator.

Vanessa Ronald, the BBF senior brand manager said, “We feel privileged as a company to be in a position where we are able to positively contribute towards making a difference within our community and are proud to be able to help these children walk a little taller in a new pair of shoes.”

“We are so grateful for the support and generous donation from BBF,” added Kim. To get involved with the drive, email robinhoodfund@telkomsa.net.
