Delivery of orange recycling bags resumes

Have you received your orange recycling bags this week?

DURBAN Solid Waste has appealed to residents to be patient regarding the distribution of orange recycling bags.

Hillcrest resident, Sandi Holden said she ran out of orange bags, and attempted to contact the eThekwini Municipality several times since January but was finally told there was a problem with the supplier.

“I called again today (Wednesday) and was told by an employee that the problem had still not been resolved. She also said she found it “draining” to keep explaining this to customers who were becoming irate,” said Holden.

Neeri Moodley, communications officer at DSW, said they did experience a shortage of bags from the supplier however this had been rectified.

“As we get stocks coming out of production, they are being delivered to the residents,” said Moodley.

If residents have not received their delivery of bags, they can contact DSW Waste Minimisation office on 031 303 1665.
