Driver freed from overturned vehicle
Paramedics, emergency services and volunteers helped free a man trapped inside his vehicle on the M13 in Kloof.
THE M13 was closed on Thursday night to free a driver trapped inside his vehicle after it overturned.
According to ER24’s spokeman, Pieter Rossouw, the man was trapped in a light delivery vehicle. “When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found that the driver was trapped under the vehicle. He had sustained severe trauma to one of his arms as well as head injuries,” said Rossouw.
The man was freed from the vehicle with help from the local fire department. He was transported to St Augustine Hospital in Durban.
The road was closed for more than an hour and traffic was heavily affected. The cause of the incident remains unknown and the local SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating.
