Raising funds for CANSA one cupcake at a time

Westville Mall shoppers and Checkers raised more than R30 000 for CANSA.

WESTVILLE Mall Checkers hosted a Cuppa for CANSA at the mall recently to raise funds for the Cancer Association of South Africa.

Assistant store manager, Benita Govender, and branch manager, Charmaine Archary gave Robyn Briggs, CANSA community mobiliser, the exciting news, that the store raised more than R30 000.

Individuals and companies can play a part in the care and support that CANSA delivers to those affected by cancer, by hosting their own Cuppa For CANSA.

Shoprite Checkers, and Glen Rooibos, are supporting the cause by helping CANSA keep their CANSA mobile health clinics on the road and hosting in-store Cuppas.

CANSA’s mobile health clinics travel to remote areas to provide cancer education and information to help reduce the cancer risk as well as cancer screening and early detection programmes to those who have limited access to health care.

Briggs thanked Westville Mall management, Checkers and shoppers for helping raising this generous donation.
