Car plunges off St Johns bridge, one injured

Netcare 911 paramedics attended the scene and stabilised the injured driver.

ONE person was injured during a collision on the St Johns bridge in Pinetown earlier today.

Netcare 911 paramedics responded to the accident. “Reports from the scene indicate that one vehicle collided into the side of another before plunging off the bridge and coming to rest on its roof on a grass embankment,” said Chris Botha, media liaison officer for Netcare 911.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the driver of the upturned vehicle escaped uninjured. The driver of the other vehicle was moderately injured. The driver was treated at the scene before being taken to a nearby hospital.
