Down Syndrome Association to host winter ball

This fundraiser promises to be an enthralling evening of dance and music.

HUNDREDS of guests, resplendent in sleek tuxedos and glittering gowns are expected to flock to the West Park School Hall on Saturday, 30 July as Down Syndrome Association KZN will be hosting an exciting winter ball.

This will be a dance evening with elegant decorations emphasizing the wintry theme. Guests will be entertained by great music from the 60s to present day and will be treated to tea, coffee and snacks as well as lucky draw prizes. This fundraiser promises to be an enthralling evening of dance and music.

“Renowned local artist, Kate Vink, will feature as a singer. Couples and the general public are invited to an evening of fun, laughter and an opportunity to socialise. DJ Marlin will host this winter ball event and we know that it will be a splendid evening worth being a part of. Down Syndrome Association KZN (DSA) appeals to the community to come in their numbers and enjoy this evening. The Down Syndrome Association’s Winter Ball is a bringing together of the multi-racial and diverse community we are situated in,” said project coordinator, Percilan Thaver.

The event is intended to commemorate the groundbreaking community service projects and achievements since the DSA’s inception. A variety of volunteers and members will host this event to reinforce the commitment to inclusive environments of diverse individuals, organisations and communities. The evening is also intended to bring together different community based non-profitable organisations to network with one another.
