Taser used in Kloof mugging

A maintenance manager was tasered repeatedly during a mugging outside a school yesterday morning.

A MAINTENANCE manager for a Kloof school was tasered and robbed at gunpoint by a gang of thieves yesterday morning.

Blue Security’s operation manager, Brian Jackson, said the school’s maintenance manager had gone to a local bank and was ambushed by the gang as he arrived at the school’s premises. The gang arrived in a white Nissan Bakkie. “A gang of six robbers, two of them armed with firearms, held up the manager at gunpoint before he could enter the property. One of the robbers was armed with a taser-like shocker and repeatedly shocked the manager,” he said. “The robbers fled with cash that the manager had drawn from the bank.”

Kloof SAPS attended the scene of the crime.
