ROYALTY was the theme of the day at Joan Dooley’s home in Waterfall as the Birthday Girls hosted a tea party to celebrate the British Queens 90th birthday.

The Birthday Girls are a group of women who always do something special for one another’s birthdays. They arrived at Dooley’s house dressed up for the occassion to celebrate Queen Elizabeth 11’s birthday.

Dooley, who has been sending letters to the Royal House since 195, said the letters started as a hobby but over the years her love for Britain’s Royal Family grew.

Dooley has a file where she keeps the postcards that the Royal House sent her in response to her letters.

She said although she has not met the Queen she has been to Buckingham Palace for a tour.

“My birthday wish for the Queen is for her to lead a healthy life and be blessed with many more years,” she said.

She added that her biggest wish was for Prince Harry to visit her home and spend some time with her family.
