Candice celebrates a milestone through Miles4Marrow campaign

Support Candice Jenkinson by sponsoring her financially for every mile or kilometre she completes in the Tongaat 21.1km half marathon on 17 April to raise funds for the Sunflower Fund.

CANDICE Jenkinson will celebrate her 32nd birthday by choosing to make a meaningful difference through The Sunflower Fund’s Miles4Marrow fundraising and awareness campaign.

The 17 April will be an especially significant birthday for Candice as she will be taking on the Tongaat 21.1km half marathon and aims to raise as much money as possible for The Sunflower Fund.

Candice is encouraging friends, family and the general public to support her by sponsoring her financially for every mile or kilometre run.

This marathon, in a series of others, is part of Candice’s training and preparation in her hope to conquer the 2018 Comrades Marathon and she wanted to include The Sunflower Fund in it, on a day that is as special to her as the cause is.

Candice is familiar with the gift of giving as she raised the funds on her birthday last year to pay for her own testing and registration on the South African Bone Marrow Registry (SABMR).

This year she aims to do one better by giving the same opportunity to others who would like to register, through the funds raised from her Miles4Marrow birthday campaign, and ultimately give the gift of hope to patients living with leukaemia and other life-threatening blood disorders.

Through her support of The Sunflower Fund, which works toward building the local registry (SABMR) to give greater hope to such patients, Candice’s selfless efforts will have far-reaching effects.
