Lace up for ECR Big Walk
Entries are now open for the Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk event.
ARE you ready for the biggest outdoor, participative event in KwaZulu-Natal? The Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk is on 22 May and promises more lasting memories.
There are four routes (5km, 10km, 15km and 20km) that will take participants along the Durban promenade and start at uShaka Marine World with the finish line at People’s Park, Moses Mabhida Stadium.
“There is a certain responsibility on big brands to mend pockets of society when needed. Corporate responsibility goes way beyond just ticking a scorecard,” said East Coast Radio’s marketing manager, Renée Burton. “This is why the 2016 Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk is celebrating the true united pulse of our community. This event has grown exponentially since it began 12 years ago. The community that makes it a success is diverse and encompasses the true sense that is synonymous with our KZN family.”
There promises to be something for everyone, including meeting the East Coast Radio presenters along the route, entertainment for children and plenty of opportunity to take #HealthySelfies along the way.
Entries are now open and you can register online at www.ecr.co.za or at selected Totalsports stores. Only the first 30 000 entries will be accepted.
The price for the 5km event is R71.50 per online entry and R80 per Totalsports entry.
The cost to take part in the 10km event is R77 per online entry and R85 per Totalsports entry.
To take part in the 15km event is R82.50 per online entry and R90 per Totalsports entry.
The cost for the 20km (timed race) is R88 per online entry and R95 per Totalsports entry.
