THE eThekwini Inner South Cluster Task Team together with the Provincial Hijacking Unit and Tracker South Africa recovered three hijacked vehicles while conducting their operation in the Inner South area on Thursday, 18 February.
The team worked hand-in-hand when they recovered a Hyundai i10, a Toyota Corolla and a VW Polo Vivo. The vehicles were recovered in Umlazi. The three vehicles were hijacked in the Umbilo, Isipingo and Pinetown areas. The suspects are still being sought by police and arrests are imminent.
The Provincial Commissioner of KwaZulu-Natal, Lt-Gen Mmamonnye Ngobeni, commended the members for the recovery of the vehicles. “The members will work tirelessly to catch all the criminals involved so that they can face the full might of law. I appeal to members of the public who know these thugs to please contact us so that they will be arrested,” she said.
