THE EThekwini Inner and Outer West Cluster has released telephone numbers of police stations under its cluster to assist the community to report crimes urgently.
Pinetown SAPS communications officer, Lt Bongumusa Manqele, said these numbers can be used as alternative numbers and people are urged to continue using 10111 in cases of emergency.
“We would also like to warn people to not withdraw large amounts of money from the banks because it is not safe. In a recent incident, a victim withdrew R200 000 from the bank in Westville and went to deposit R140 000 at a nearby mall. After making a deposit, the victim was held up by armed men and robbed of R60 000.
Manqele also warned the motorists to be vigilant when driving, especially of the cars in front of and behind them.
