THE Westville Market, which sponsors a different charity or cause each month, will be held on Sunday, 29 November.

The market was started by Jill van Rooyen with the purpose of raising awareness of local charities and helping them raise much-needed funds.

It has been running since April and is always held at Musketeers at the German Club, 7 Barham Road.

This month they are sponsoring Sean O’Neil and Melisa van Bosch, two Down syndrome swimmers who have qualified to represent South Africa in the Trisomy Games in Italy next July.

Van Rooyen said the last chance to support them will be this coming Sunday, 29 November from 10am to 3pm.

“Next month we are sponsoring Stepping Stones as they need to raise funds to give homeless families and children the Christmas they deserve. We will also be collecting second-hand toys and clothing which people are welcome to drop off at any of the Westville Markets.”

Market dates for December are Friday, 4 December 6pm to 10pm, Sunday, 13 December from 10am to 3pm and Friday, 18 December from 6pm to 10pm.
