TV thief takes the wrong route

A 42-inch TV and an air rifle were recovered from a man who broke into a house in Kloof.

PRO Force security arrested a man in his late 20s for breaking into a house in Kloof at noon on Thursday.

According to David Walsh, Pro Force sales manager, they received information about a suspicious man carrying a TV near the Tracy Watts railway line.

“Our officers followed the lead and the man ran when he saw them. He was apprehended and a 42-inch TV and an air rifle were recovered,” said Walsh.

It was discovered that the items were stolen from a house in Kloof.

“The intruder was taken back to the house from where the items were stolen. There was no one at the house when the incident happened, and we then called the owner of the house, who identified the TV and the air rifle as his belongings.”

Pro Force Security called Pinetown SAPS who then took the man into police custody.
