MOZAMBIK (Hillcrest) proudly hosts another fantastic Comedy Night on Tuesday, 4 August at 8.30pm, 9 Inanda Road, Hillcrest.
Relax and unwind as you feast on delicious Mozambican cuisine while local favourite, Jem Atkins, hosts three hilarious acts on tour from Johannesburg -Glen Bo, Werner Cloete and Nqoba Ngcobo.
Host, Jem Atkins, is arguably one of the funniest Durban entertainers. Atkins has been hosting and headlining shows all over Durban for several years.
Fresh after the success of his sold-out one-man comedy show – Single Dad II – the guy is instantly likeable and very entertaining.
Glen Bo has toured all over the country and has performed internationally. He’s opened for Mark Banks, Cokey Falkow and Canadian performer, Jason Rouse, among others. As he prepares for his second solo theatre show later this year, Bo brings his unique brand of high-energy, ‘rock ‘n roll humour’ to KZN.
Werner Cloete is a finalist in Comedy Central’s Live@theBox and winner of the Nando’s Comedy Festival Newcomer competition (2013). Cloete’s deadpan style gets audiences to let down their guards before hitting them with outrageously funny one-liners.
A regular on the Johannesburg comedy scene for several years now, he has also performed all over the country.
Nqoba Ngcobo has a unique ability to inspire riotous laughter in any audience. Ngcobo’s witty and charismatic comedy style and energetic delivery have cemented his place as one of SA’s funniest up-and-coming comedy acts. He writes scripts, does radio and TV work, and is definitely not to be missed.
