Help bail out animal lovers

Twenty-five staff members and volunteers are 'in the dog box' at the Kloof and Highway SPCA and will be locked up for 24 hours.

IN anticipation of the opening of the new socialisation runs for dogs at the Kloof and Highway SPCA, 25 staff and volunteers will be locked up for 24 hours to raise funds for the next project.

The next project aims to upgrade the adult cattery section before winter sets in.

These 25 staff members and volunteers will be locked up from noon on Friday, 5 June to noon on Saturday, 6 June in each of the 24 socialisation runs, together with a rescue dog, and will not be allowed to leave until they have raised R5 000 each to go towards enriching the lives of the adult cats.

The community is urged to show its support by making a donation and help these staff members and volunteers to escape.

Cash deposits can be made to Kloof and Highway SPCA, First National Bank, account number 5073 0485 741, branch code 221526, with the name of the ‘convict’ followed by your name as a reference. Proof of payment must be e-mailed to fundraising@kloofspca.co.za.

The community can also visit the ‘prisoners’ on Friday and Saturday where you can make a donation.
